Client: Rhino Roof Racks

JEEP is the most iconic and popular, all-terrain vehicle in the U.S. Since 2017, Presfast has been operating with Rhino Roof Racks, to deliver on their global display and packaging requirements.

Designed specifically for JEEP in the U.S, Presfast was briefed to produce packaging for the branding and marketing campaign of a new rack system.

Strategy

Where camping and off-roading are far more mainstream, the U.S roof-rack market is incredibly different compared to Australia. Instead, U.S consumers are much more willing to significantly invest in this hobby as opposed to Australians.

Developing World-class Packaging

Rhino engineers a world-class product, so it was our duty to develop world-class packaging. We aimed to create an experience of excellence; from the moment the customers received the rack for installation.

Solution

Presfast established packaging that provided an ‘Apple-style experience’ – where the box opening experience was a key component of the roof-rack. The customer’s journey would begin by opening the box to reveal an integrated set of instructions.

The rack parts can be laid out on the instructions sheet, to map out the numbered parts for simplistic assembling.

Rhino state that the bespoke JEEP packaging has changed the way Rhino view their product and position in the market. Rhino says that their world-class product experience begins when their customers receive their roof-rack in its box.

Feedback from client

When we first briefed Presfast on this project we were simply looking to remove all the plastic from our packaging and make the carton more compact or remove the wasted space. Presfast really opened our eyes to the possibilities of not only the functional aspects of the packaging but how this product could revolutionise the way they think about packaging and take our brand to a whole new level
